APPLICATIONS
Fluorpolymer film products
HITEMP products feature extruded and film casting, depositing, sintering and fusing together thin layers of PTFE or PFA or FEP, producing a fundamentally and totally unique family of composites not available through any other production technique. The special multilayer construction of these films provide uniform tensile and elongation properties in the linear and transverse directions, and a smooth surface profile. It makes possible the custom design of exceptional film products that are stress free, flexible, conductive, metalized, pigmented, virtually pinhole free and most importantly heat sealable. Our products are available in heat-bondable or treated to accept an adhesive.
In addition to the normal characteristics found in PTFE based composites, extruded and cast films can be wrapped around curves, sharp bends or irregularly shaped surfaces. Among the applications for these superior products are:
• Aircraft wiring harnesses
• Food processing
• Electrical and Phase insulation
• Moisture and corrosion protection barriers
• Thermal sensors and cables
• High temperature splicing tapes
• Printed circuit boards
• Composite mold release film
• Chemically inert containers/liners
Spray Shields
Spray Shields prevent spray outs of liquids from flanges.
These Safety Shields inhibit dangerous leaks of hazardous high-temperature materials and allow time to make proper repairs.
They are effective in reducing damage to surrounding equipment and injuries to plant personnel.
Inspection costs, repairs, and resulting downtime are also reduced due to leak containment through the use of these safety spray shields.

Vaccum Bagging
Vacuum bagging is a manufacturing process that makes composite parts with the use of a mold with the form of the part and with the use of several layers that create mechanical pressure on the laminate during its cure cycle. These molds can be brought into an autoclave oven where the parts cure under the pressure. Flexible release films, fabrics and tapes are part of the layers that allow the part to release from the mold upon cure, while applying the pressure during the cure. HiTemp line of fluoropolymer films, fabrics and tapes, withstand the temperatures, and have the chemical inertness and release properties required for the process.
